Director Shankar’s I has got its first look posters out. The film is touted to be a romantic thriller and had the posters release with an official launch held in Chennai on Sunday, July 15th. ‘I’ features VIkram and British born Amy Jackson as the romantic pair.
Observing the first look posters plastered all over the city heroine Amy quips “Eye Spy!!! Chennai is covered with our teaser pic Keep you’re eyes peeled.” Though director Shankar had enlightened us saying, “ I means beauty, king, guru, astonishment, vulnerability (softness/gentleness) etc” the poster does give a disturbing account. Muscleman Vikram has his back facing us in some sort of rebel pose and has a rather unconscious Amy (believe us she isn’t dead) on his shoulders. Everywhere he looks there is a significant hint of blood. Yes even on the trees! And on top of that the weather man predicts it’s going to rain.
The supporting cast for ‘I’ includes Sivaji Ganesan’s eldest son – Ramkumar and Mollywood hero Suresh Gopi. Produced by Aascar Ravichandran this is the first time Shankar collaborates with cinematographer PC Sriram. Art direction is by Muthuraj, dialogues by Subha and editing done by Anthony. Music for the film is by Oscar winning composer AR Rahman and part of the international crew include Men in Black series costume designer Mary Vogt and stunt director Peter Ming from China partnering Kollywood stunt guy Anal Arasu.Do tell us if you liked the poster in the comments section below.
